Small Spaces

Yesterday, I stumbled upon Vogue online's reoccurring post of "Apt with LSD". Basically the article is a blog post smartly published by Vogue and edited by Lauren Santo Domingo showcasing a fabulous flat, townhouse or apartment in New York.

This particular post features Barbara Bush, Maggie Betts and Elliott Merck’s shared New York City townhouse. I love Ms. Bush's taste personally. Not only do I love the TX shout outs in the article, but I also love how she styled her space, and made the small spaces her own. ...Not to mention she is fantastic and chic.

I also have included a few images from Ms. Merck's space, and love her accessories.

Enjoy!

Healing Space

I have been trying to put together my creative thoughts for the past several days... and due to my cloudy thoughts from being under the weather, it seems that all I can conjure up is images of warmth. I feel better just dreaming of cashmere, wool, and cuddling up in front of a warm fireplace.

Enjoy,

Travel Attire...Destination Unknown

There is a rather large secret that I must tell in due time, concerning travel. However until then there is a dilema that every girl struggles with when traveling. WHAT TO WEAR!!?? For my upcoming adventure, I must research to make sure that I have the perfect outfit at all times.

To start, my least favorite outfit of every vacation, the "traveling" outfit. My mother always says, "you never know who you are going to see at the airport or on the plane". AKA, never wear shorts and a t-shirt.

Let's start with shoes.. they must be comfortable, and preferably not open toed on an overnight flight. My preference is a cute pair of oxford flats or http://www.toryburch.com/ flats. Both are comfortable, and can be re-worn throughout the week of travel.

Yes, it is important to be comfortable on the plane but that does not mean pj pants.

1. Not only is this look relaxed/proffessional, but also follows chic current trend, "color blocking" ~ with this look its probably best if you sit close to an exit its definitely bright
thanks to www.vogue.com

2. I love this look because it's breezy, yet non descript. The perfect travel dress is one that can be rolled away and doesn't wrinkle.

3. "Celeb" plane style.. but cleaned up a bit... usually you see greasy hair and big glasses. This is a great summer look! Blazer, stripes, high waisted wide leg pant, and satchel

4. Thanks to shopbop.com you can find just about anything! Great simple look with colors that don't stand out, but look professional. I wish I could rock that braid!

The MET Ball

As stated in the Cut Blog "The Oscars of the East Coast! The only red carpet that is actually reliably quite fashionable!"

Monday night was the Met ball. A glamorous party that honored Alexander McQueen. Here are my favorites from that spectacular night that.. hopefully one day I will get to go. :)
