City of Lights

Inspired by my recent trip to Paris, I feel compelled to show my favorite selections from Chanel Spring 2012 Paris Fashion Week, along with my own photos from my trip. Fashion, antique shopping and travel, a few of "my favorite things".

Most of my time in Paris was spent discovering rare antiques in the Parisian flea markets and Left Bank antique shops with one of the most talented designers in the country, and former employer Josie McCarthy.

Such an amazing learning experience for where I am now! Enjoy!

Travel Attire...Destination Unknown

There is a rather large secret that I must tell in due time, concerning travel. However until then there is a dilema that every girl struggles with when traveling. WHAT TO WEAR!!?? For my upcoming adventure, I must research to make sure that I have the perfect outfit at all times.

To start, my least favorite outfit of every vacation, the "traveling" outfit. My mother always says, "you never know who you are going to see at the airport or on the plane". AKA, never wear shorts and a t-shirt.

Let's start with shoes.. they must be comfortable, and preferably not open toed on an overnight flight. My preference is a cute pair of oxford flats or http://www.toryburch.com/ flats. Both are comfortable, and can be re-worn throughout the week of travel.

Yes, it is important to be comfortable on the plane but that does not mean pj pants.

1. Not only is this look relaxed/proffessional, but also follows chic current trend, "color blocking" ~ with this look its probably best if you sit close to an exit its definitely bright
thanks to www.vogue.com

2. I love this look because it's breezy, yet non descript. The perfect travel dress is one that can be rolled away and doesn't wrinkle.

3. "Celeb" plane style.. but cleaned up a bit... usually you see greasy hair and big glasses. This is a great summer look! Blazer, stripes, high waisted wide leg pant, and satchel

4. Thanks to shopbop.com you can find just about anything! Great simple look with colors that don't stand out, but look professional. I wish I could rock that braid!
